Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever Plot In Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever, premiering November 29 at 8/7c on Lifetime, Grumpy Cat stars as a pet store feline who’s never chosen for adoption — which leads to her sour outlook on life. Along comes a 12-year-old girl, who can actually hear Grumpy Cat talk. The two eventually go on adventures together and, yes, discover the true meaning of Christmas.

{adinserter 4} In this Lifetime original, Grumpy Cat is going to be voiced by Aubrey Plaza. If you have ever watched Plaza on things like “Parks and Recreation,” you understand just how brilliant that is as a bit of casting. The movie finds the feline as a poor (grumpy) cat in a mall pet shop who is just looking for a little bit of love. Apparently, however, a 12-year-old girl can hear Grumpy talk. That, plus a potential kidnapping of an exotic dog means a busy Christmas for everyone’s favorite cat.

It’s challenging to be too difficult on Irritated Cat’s Most severe Xmas Ever, since Tardar Marinade is always there to out-grump anyone who tries to be grumpy about it. For a web based laugh that can be summarized in two terms, this is probably the best end item that could have been predicted, and the movie trailer does actually have a number of fairly crazy collections (“Of course I’m serious, look at my experience.”).

Strangely, Aubrey Plaza’s Apr Ludgate personality doesn’t quite fit Irritated Cat despite being ideal for the personality theoretically. She seems to have overshot “grumpy” and dropped into “bored,” which could get a bit grating over the course of a function duration operating time. The movie trailer has obtained a mostly adverse reaction from online commenters so far, but perhaps we’ll all experience in a different way once the vacation soul comes around.
