Nobody’s Daughter Haewon is a South Korean drams film released on 2013 written and directed by Hong Sang-soo. The movie narrates from the dairy of a young lady who falls in to depression after the departure of her mother to Canada. She falls in to an affair with her professor who offers to whisk her away.
The movie screened in the competition at the 63rd Berlin international film festival.
The film was honored in the 2013 Hong Kong International Film Festival.
In the movie Nobody’s Daughter Haewon the young lady gets dreams about things in a very unique way and they are shown in very dramatic manner. She falls in an affair with her professor who is a director as well. After that she comes across much criticism for doing something like that. When her mother leaves to Canada to live with her brother she was very sad about it and gets in to depression. That’s when she finds her professor to comfort her and bring her back into normal life. And she gets in to other relationships over which she had to face troubles in the future.
The movie Nobody’s Daughter Haewon won many Awards and nominations because of its amazing performances. It won Baeksang Arts Award in 2013, Buil Film Award in 2013, 2013 Korean Association of Film Critics’ Awards, 2013 Blue Dragon Film Awards, 2013 Busan Film Critics’ Awards, 2014 KOFRA Film Awards, 2014 KOFRA Film Awards, 2014 Wildflower Film Awards.
